Halloween Pizza Recipes for Your Party

Halloween Pizza — Boooooo!

Halloween pizza takes everything you love about pizza and gives it a playful, spooky twist. It’s an easy, family-friendly idea that works for kids and adults alike — perfect for a Halloween supper, a party, or a cosy night in if you’re skipping trick-or-treating.

Spooky Halloween Pizza

I’m all for homemade food, but I also appreciate shortcuts. For this pizza I used chilled ready-rolled pizza dough to save time and focus on the fun decorating. You can of course make your own dough if you prefer, but ready-rolled dough removes the stress of base preparation and gets you straight to the creative part.

Halloween Mummy Pizza

This version is a pizza “mummy” — simple, cute and fun to assemble. I topped the base with tomato pizza sauce, pepperoni and slices of mozzarella. For the eyes I used button mushrooms and black olives, and I added thin strips of yellow pepper to create expressive eyebrows. Don’t underestimate the power of good brows — they give the mummy personality!

Halloween Pizza - unbaked

This is a great recipe to make with kids — let them arrange the “bandages” and decorate the face. Use leftover dough to create the strips and press them gently at the edge of the base so they bake in place.

Other Halloween Pizza Ideas

If you want an even quicker option, use a store-bought pizza base and simply cut it into shapes. One fun idea is a “pizza hand” cut from a medium ready-made pizza, with red pepper triangles for talons. You can also make spiders, ghosts or jack-o’-lantern faces by arranging toppings creatively. The key is to be playful with shapes and colours.

Halloween Puddings and Treats

Finish the meal with simple spooky puddings like jelly “eyeballs” or a chocolate tray bake decorated with Halloween motifs. Small, themed desserts add a lot of fun without requiring complicated techniques.

Halloween Cocktail for Adults

For grown-ups, a themed cocktail (I called mine “Fiendish Fizz”) makes a festive addition. Keep it simple: a fizzy mixer with a splash of fruit juice and a garnish can be both pretty and seasonal.

What Is Halloween?

Halloween falls on 31 October. It is traditionally the evening before the Christian holy days of All Hallows’ Day (All Saints’ Day) on 1 November and All Souls’ Day on 2 November, which is why it’s also called All Hallows’ Eve. Modern Halloween is celebrated with a mix of traditions and activities including:

  • trick-or-treating
  • Halloween costume parties
  • carving pumpkins into jack-o’-lanterns
  • lighting bonfires
  • apple bobbing and party games
  • visiting haunted attractions
  • telling scary stories and watching horror films

Have a fun, safe time — Happy Halloween!

Love as always, Cx

I’d love to see photos of what you create — please share them if you can.

Halloween Pizza – Halloween Party Food

A spooky Halloween mummy pizza that’s easy to make and perfect for a party or family dinner.

Recipe Details

Prep Time: 10 minutes • Cook Time: 25 minutes • Total Time: 35 minutes • Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 pack chilled ready-rolled pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons tomato pizza sauce or tomato paste
  • 10 circles of pepperoni (reserve one for the eyes)
  • 1 ball of mozzarella, sliced (or use a firmer mozzarella that doesn’t spread)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 black olives, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 yellow pepper, cut into thin strips for eyebrows
  • Handful of fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan / Gas 6 / 400°F).
  2. Unroll the pizza dough onto baking paper on a baking tray and prick the base lightly with a fork.
  3. Using a round template (a sponge tin base works well), cut a circle from the dough and reserve the trimmings.
  4. Spread the tomato pizza sauce over the circle, leaving about 1 cm of edge clear.
  5. Arrange pepperoni slices and mozzarella across the base, reserving one pepperoni for the eyes. Season with salt and black pepper if desired.
  6. Roll out the leftover dough and cut into thin strips. Lay these over the pizza to create the mummy “bandages,” pressing the ends gently at the edge to secure.
  7. For the eyes: place a half pepperoni, then a mushroom slice, and top with an olive slice to form each eye.
  8. Add two thin strips of yellow pepper above the eyes to form eyebrows.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the dough is golden and cooked through.
  10. Remove from the oven, scatter fresh basil leaves on top, slice and serve. Optional sides: salad, beans and chips, or whatever your family enjoys.
